Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare Supplement Plan G is sold by your own state’s Blue company, not by one national BCBS insurer, so the price, discount and rules depend on where you live. In 2026 state rate guides, a 65-year-old man paid $194.32 a month for Plan G from Horizon BCBS of New Jersey, $315 from CareFirst in Maryland, and $477.04 to $497.43 from the Blue plans in upstate New York.

People type “Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan G” as if it were one product with one price. It is not. The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association says there are 35 independent, locally operated Blue companies. Each one files its own Medicare Supplement rates with its own state, and some sell under names that never say “Blue Cross” on the policy.
So we did the legwork. We pulled the Blue company’s Plan G premium out of official rate guides from New Jersey, Maryland, New York and Nevada and set it next to the other insurers in the same guide.
