Humana Medicare Supplement Plan G is sold in every state except Massachusetts, often as Humana Achieve, a version whose new-enrollee discount starts at 30% and shrinks to zero over about ten years. In New Jersey’s June 2026 chart, Humana Achieve Plan G cost $210.01 a month for a 65-year-old man, and Humana then filed a 25% increase on Achieve Plan G in that state effective September 1, 2026.

Humana Medicare Supplement Plan G Achieve early-enrollment discount stepping down from 30% to 0% over ten years

Humana’s Arizona outline of coverage for Achieve (insured by CompBenefits Insurance Company, rates effective May 1, 2026) spells out an early-enrollment discount tied to how long you have had Medicare Part B. New enrollees get the most. Then it fades.

Our math: The June chart predates Humana’s September increase. A 25% increase on $210.01 would put Achieve Plan G near $262.51 a month for that same buyer. Ask for a current quote, not last quarter’s chart.

Humana Plan G vs High-Deductible G vs Plan N

Using the Arizona Achieve outline (male, preferred, ages 65 and over), here is how Humana’s three most-bought letters line up.

Plan G: $330.43 a month. You pay only the Part B deductible ($283 in 2026, projected $292 in 2027).

Plan N: $241.06 a month. About $89 less per month. You pay copays up to $20 per office visit and $50 per ER visit, plus any excess charges.

High-Deductible G: $94.35 a month. You pay the first $3,050 of covered costs in 2027, then it pays like Plan G. See our High-Deductible Plan G guide.

Should You Pick Humana for Plan G?

Strong fit. New to Medicare, two people in the home who both want Humana (12% household discount), and you plan to compare again in a few years.

Think twice. You want a steady bill for life. The Achieve discount fades and recent Plan G increases ran as high as 25% to 29%.

Service record. NerdWallet’s 2026 review found Humana’s NAIC complaint rate 214% above the Medicare Supplement average for 2023 to 2025.

Ask which Humana product you are quoted. Achieve, Value or a standard 2010 plan each price differently.

Ask for the price without the early-enrollment discount. That is roughly what you will pay once the discount runs out.
