High Deductible Plan F has a $3,050 deductible for 2027, up from $2,950 in 2026, and only people eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020 can buy it. You pay your share of Medicare-covered costs until that share reaches $3,050 in a calendar year, then the policy pays 100% of covered costs, including Part B excess charges, through December 31.

Think of this policy as a catastrophic cap on your Medicare bills. Small bills stay yours; a bad year stops at a fixed number. Because new buyers are shut out, the people searching for it are usually current owners checking the 2027 number, or pre-2020 enrollees weighing a lower premium.
This page stays on the high-deductible version only. For the full-coverage version, read Medicare Supplement Plan F 2027; if you joined Medicare in 2020 or later, the open alternative is High Deductible Plan G for 2027.
