If you searched for Cigna Medicare plans for 2027, you probably landed on HealthSpring. Cigna sold its Medicare business, Medicare Supplement included, to Health Care Service Corporation in early 2025. HCSC is the customer-owned insurer that also runs the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
This page explains what changed, which company actually issues a HealthSpring policy, and what HealthSpring charged in one state that publishes every company’s price. For Plan G alone, see our Cigna (HealthSpring) Plan G guide.
