Medicare Supplement plans in Maine cannot be priced by age or gender, so a 65-year-old and an 85-year-old pay the same rate for the same plan at the same company. On the Maine Bureau of Insurance annual rate chart, non-smoker Plan G runs from about $3,300 a year (roughly $275 a month) to $5,554 a year, and Maine lets you switch to equal or lesser coverage in any month if you have had no coverage gap over 90 days.

Maine runs its Medicare Supplement market differently from almost every other state. Your age does not change your premium, there is no once-a-year switching window because you can switch at any time, and every insurer must open Plan A to all applicants for one month a year.
Below are the rules from the Maine Bureau of Insurance’s consumer guide (updated August 2026) and the actual premiums from its annual rate chart. For benefit details on the most popular letter, read our Medicare Supplement Plan G 2027 guide.
