Lumico Medicare Supplement plans are no longer sold to new buyers: Lumico and its underwriter, Elips Life Insurance Company, stopped accepting new Medicare Supplement business on October 1, 2024, when Swiss Re put the business into run-off. People who already own a Lumico Plan A, F, G, High-Deductible G or N keep their coverage as long as they pay the premium, and new shoppers for 2027 need to buy from a different company.

Most search results for Lumico still read like a sales brochure: low premiums, fast approvals, a big household discount. Few mention that the company quit selling. In 2024, Swiss Re decided to exit its iptiQ unit, which owned Lumico, and agents were told no new Medicare Supplement applications would be accepted after October 1, 2024.
If you own a Lumico policy, this page shows what it still pays in 2027 and what to watch. If you found Lumico on an old review, it explains why you need another company. Benefits for each plan letter are set by federal law, so our Medicare Supplement Plan G for 2027 guide applies to a Lumico Plan G too.
